What is "The Savvy GPS Pilot™" seminar?
"The Savvy GPS Pilot™" seminar is a thorough seminar designed for instrument pilots who want to safely use a GPS receiver for instrument operations. Beginning with the basics and going all the way to advanced procedures, this seminar will help students become expert users of the GPS receiver covered in the seminar and gain knowledge of the new regulations and TERPS associated with GPS use for instrument operations.
What types of GPS receiver are covered?
Right now, we offer seminars for the Garmin GNS 430(W)/530(W), the Garmin 480, the Apollo GX 50/55/60, and the King KLN 94.
Do you use actual units or computer-based simulators?
Computer-based simulators replicates flying scenarios more adequately so we prefer to use computer-based simulators to practice many of the instrument procedures. However, the KLN 94 doesn't have a computer-based simulator so we have actual units. If you prefer to use you own receiver, we can provide docking stations with advance notification.
What does "The Savvy GPS Pilot™" seminar cost?
The seminar fee is $399.00 per person when you sign up 2 or more weeks in advance and $449.00 otherwise. The fee includes a follow-along workbook, lunch each day, an awesome completion certificate, and a Ground School in Box™ Flight Bag Tag.
Are there any discounts?
Yes, an early bird discount. Save $50.00 per person when you register 2 or more weeks in advance.
I cannot go to Las Vegas. Can the seminar come to my airport?

Is one-on-one instruction available for ground and flight training?
Yes. We do offer individualized instruction. The rate is $320 per half day and $600 per full day plus traveling expenses, if applicable. There is 2-day minimum when training is not in Las Vegas.
